0. Overview
Welcome to SniffLab™. The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to SniffLab. We operate this website and online store (the Services) to provide information, content, features, tools, products and support to you. The Services are powered by Shopify, which enables our ecommerce functionality.
These Terms of Service (the Terms) together with any policies referenced here (e.g. Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy) describe your rights and responsibilities when using the Services. By visiting, interacting with, or purchasing from the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Access & Accounts
1.1 You represent you are 18 years or older (age of majority in Australia) and capable of entering a binding agreement. If you permit a minor to use a device you own or control to access the Services, you remain responsible.
1.2 You may be asked to provide information (e.g. email, billing, shipping, payment). You warrant the information you provide is accurate, current and complete, and that you have the right to provide it.
1.3 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials and for all activity under your account. You must not sell, assign or transfer your account.
2. Our Products
2.1 We aim to display products accurately; however, colours/appearance can vary by device settings.
2.2 We do not warrant that any product will meet your expectations or be identical to images.
2.3 Product details, availability and pricing may change at any time without notice. We may limit quantities or discontinue products at our discretion.
3. Orders
3.1 Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline at our discretion. An order is accepted once payment is processed and we issue an order confirmation.
3.2 Review your order carefully. We may be unable to accommodate cancellations after acceptance. If we decline or cancel, we’ll attempt to notify you using the contact details provided.
3.3 Purchases are for personal/household use and not for commercial resale or export unless agreed in writing.
3.4 Returns and exchanges are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (see Section 16).
4. Prices, Currency, GST & Billing
4.1 Prices are shown in AUD and are subject to change without notice. The price charged is the price in effect at the time of order and will appear in your confirmation email.
4.2 Unless otherwise stated, prices exclude shipping and may include GST where applicable. Any customs/import duties (for international deliveries) are your responsibility.
4.3 You agree to provide current and accurate purchase and payment information and to promptly update details (email, billing, card expiry).
4.4 You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method, and you agree to pay all charges, including GST, shipping and any applicable duties.
5. Shipping & Delivery
5.1 We’ll ship to the address you provide. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
5.2 Risk of loss and title to goods pass to you on delivery to the carrier (or as otherwise required by the ACL).
5.3 We are not liable for delays outside our control (e.g. carrier delays, weather, customs). See our Shipping Policy for details.
6. Product Use & Safety
6.1 Always supervise pets during use of enrichment gear. Our mats and accessories are not chew toys. Inspect regularly and discontinue use if damaged or worn.
6.2 Follow any care and use instructions provided. Misuse may result in damage or injury. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the ACL.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 The Services and all materials (including text, images, logos, trademarks, graphics, video, audio, design and layout) are owned by SniffLab or our licensors and are protected by IP laws.
7.2 You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly perform or display, or otherwise use our materials without prior written consent.
7.3 SniffLab™, SnufflePlace™ and related marks are trademarks of SniffLab. Shopify’s names and marks are trademarks of Shopify Inc. All other marks belong to their respective owners.
8. Optional Tools & Third-Party Links
8.1 We may provide access to third-party tools “as is” without warranties. Use is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.
8.2 The Services may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Review those terms before engaging in any transaction.
9. Relationship with Shopify
SniffLab is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make are directly with SniffLab. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and SniffLab, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with SniffLab.
10. Privacy & Cookies
10.1 Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and may also be processed by Shopify per Shopify’s privacy policy.
10.2 Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, information you submit may be transferred to and processed in other countries to operate and improve the Services.

11. Feedback & Reviews
11.1 If you submit reviews, ideas or feedback (Feedback), you grant SniffLab a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and display such Feedback for any purpose.
11.2 You warrant you own or control the rights in your Feedback, it is accurate and lawful, and that you’ve disclosed any incentives. We may moderate or remove Feedback at our discretion.
12. Errors & Availability
From time to time the Services may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions (e.g. descriptions, pricing, availability). We may correct or update information or cancel orders if information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you submit an order).
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services for unlawful, abusive, infringing, misleading, disruptive or harmful purposes, including:
- violating laws or third-party rights;
- transmitting malware or spam;
- scraping, crawling or attempting to bypass security;
- attempting to gain unauthorised access;
- harassing or abusing any person.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms are breached.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend the Services (or your access) at any time. You remain liable for amounts due up to the date of termination. Sections intended to survive (including IP, Feedback, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Severability, Governing Law) survive termination.
15. Disclaimer (Services & Content)
Information on the Services is provided for general information only. While we aim for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties that content is accurate, complete or up-to-date and your reliance is at your own risk. This disclaimer is subject to Section 16 (ACL).
16. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — Your Non-Excludable Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded.
Where goods are not of acceptable quality or otherwise fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement or refund) and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Any limitations or disclaimers in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by law.
17. Limitation of Liability
17.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to the ACL, SniffLab and our directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, partners, licensors and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the Services or products.
17.2 If liability cannot be excluded under the ACL, our liability is limited, at our option, to:
- for goods: repair or replacement of the goods, or payment of the cost of repair or replacement;
- for services: resupply of the services, or payment of the cost of resupply.
17.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SniffLab (and our officers, employees, agents, contractors, partners and licensors) from claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or applicable law, or your misuse of the Services. We will notify you of any claim and may control the defence at your expense; you will cooperate as reasonably requested.
19. Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms continues in effect, and the provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted.
20. Waiver & Entire Agreement
Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and SniffLab regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings.
21. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations without notice.
22. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and SniffLab submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria (and appellate courts) in relation to any dispute.
23. Headings
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
24. Changes to These Terms
You can review the most current version on this page. We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes as required by law. Changes take effect on the date specified in the notice. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
